Time & Date issues after upgrading to 3.0.4

Post by Coolzero »

Your board's URL: http://www.themp3collective.com/forum/index.php
Version of phpBB3: 3.0.4
Was this a fresh install or a(n) update/upgrade/conversion (please be specific)? upgrade from 3.0.3 to 3.0.4
If update, what package(s) did you use? Automatic Update Package
Did you use an automated wizard provided by your host to install phpBB? no
MODs you have installed: about 6
When the problem started: right after upgrade
Your level of expertise (be honest): semi
Template(s) used: subsilver2
Language(s) used: english
Version of PHP used: 5.0.67
Database and version used: ?

After upgrading to version 3.0.4 the board start date went to "1 hour ago". All users joined "1 hour ago" and all posts were started "1 hour ago".
I upgraded about 24 hours ago....and board start date, users joined and posts were all still started "1 hour ago". Everything else works just fine.

I've upgraded a couple of times to new versions and never had this happen. But....first upgrade nothing had to be done, second upgrade I had some mods and chose to overwirte (which I then had to reinstall ALL the mods), this upgrade I chose to merge the files with conflits and use the merged file.
Any idea what would cause this and how can I fix it?
I have the .bak files that it created when upgrading. If I just delete the new versions and go back to the older version using the .bak files will it do more harm?

That is bizarre - the time on the front says "It is currently less than one minute ago."

yeah, forgot about that.
Any post, before or after the upgrade is doing it.
Posts will say minute wise till an hour hits, then it just stays at "1 hour ago". And the time on the front always says "It is currently less than a minute ago"

I went into the UCP and this:
"My date format: The syntax used is identical to the PHP date() function."
has vallues you can select, but all are "less than a minute ago" or "less than a minute ago / less than a minute ago"

Updating to version 3.04 did do something to my sql, but I didn't pay attention...could that be the issue?

I'm having a heck of a time trying to track down where this would be. I've found that the default date format is
default_dateformat in the config table but I can't find where the options to choose from are defined.

I'm still looking though and I thought they would be in the styles/prosilver/templates folder ...

I can't find where those elements in the dropdown are defined. There should be a text field directly under the date format, put this in there:

D M d, Y g:i a

That text is already there.

Can you include a couple of screen shots? One with just the image as is and one with the dropdown showing?
