where today I can download mods

There are a couple of locations on the internet, those are however not validated by the MOD team and therefore no guaranties that they will work.
I'd suggest that you use the board without MOD until .com comes back up rather than using unvalidated MODs

You might provide a list of the mods you want, that way if people know where they can be found they can tell you. PhpbbHacks.com would be a place to check too.

phpbbhacks doesn't get anything validated so who knows what you'll download...
