easy mod problem

Wondering why that MOD you have won't install correctly? Let's take a look

DO NOT give out any FTP passwords to anyone! There is no reason to do so! If you need help badly enough, create a temporary FTP account that is restricted to only the files that you need help with and give the information for that. Giving out FTP information can be very dangerous!

if you are using word for this, then that is your problem. word corrupts the files if you simply open them in it.

start with fresh files that you have not opened in word and do it all again.

Don't use Word, Wordpad, Notepad but editors specified for working with program code. You may try pspad (freeware), notepad++, etc.

ok, i have downloaded pspad but i encounter the same problem, easy mod says the problem is on line #945 yet ther are only 424 lines ! where do i insert the missing code?

i can't download the mod again, the link doesn't work so i can't get a fresh file.....do any of you have the mod ?

I am little confused. Have you made some changes to attached MOD files? The error message shown above was about admin/admin_groups.php file that is a part of a standard phpBB2 pack. If you did some wrong changes to that file, please, use file from fresh phpBB installation.

sorry ! i got mixed up XDXD anyways, i have the fresh file, opened it with pspad and i still can't insert the code because ther is no line 945, only up to 418.....any thoughts?

If you seek for this "MOD script line #945", it is probably number of EasyMOD script line or MOD installation instruction, not line of the file you want to edit.

show us where it tells you to look for that line.

paste the MOD instructions here for that section.

OK! i have advanced, the problem was it couldn't find the text, because i had already replaced it, i just had to delete the comand on the install.txt thank you both!
BUT :( once again i need your help as there's an error :cry: which is :

Critical Error
