Maybe it's a countdown until they announce that Bertie got killed?

Re: phpBB.com Conspiracy Theories
I was thinking more of a countdown to the release of phpBB3...?

Don't get your hopes up. I'm sure the DEV team has had enough on their hands trying to repair the server. I would think that phpBB3 would have been second to that and put on the back burner till the server was up and running again.
Just my two cents worth. Hopefully I am wrong.
Re: phpBB.com Conspiracy Theories
Well someone is making us have a guess as I see this in the page source
My guess is that it is until they announce that the attempted recovery has failed and we all have to register again.
All postcounts will start at zero.

Re: phpBB.com Conspiracy Theories
Damn - never thought about that...
I was just thinking it was a conspiracy, and that there was no problems at all - and that they were just porting everything over to 3!
EDIT: I meant phpBB.com using RC1 as discussed in another thread here, not the full release.

Re: phpBB.com Conspiracy Theories
It has suddenly gone very quiet on here. Not the usual post rate in the support forum or on here. I guess that everyone is over at what is left of phpbb.com watching the countdown to see what happens.
Not a bad idea I think I will go make a cup of tea and join them.
