Yes, but phpBB3 has no unknown bugs, as far as we know.

phpbb3 has no bugs, they're just tuning the features.

phpBB3 has yet a lot of bugs ;) They're only not known at the moment. Each program has a lot of bugs!

The one thing the bug tracker doesn't show is Severity and Priority. I'm not sure if this is something that the developers have available on their end, but it would be nice to know how each bug/defect is ranked.

Where I work we have:
1 - Critical
2 - High
3 - Medium
4 - Low

The rankings will differ in meaning from company to company. I work in telecommunications, and 99% of development is around internal billing and provisioning systems, not public software.

Critical: is always a show stopper.
High: can be a show stopper, but if there is a work around it will go into the production environment.
Medium: is something that should be fixed, but does not affect core functionality. We can still launch.
Low: is just that....Low. Fix when there's time or someone is bored. This year would be nice.

I would not say phpBB has lotsa bugs. It seems pretty stable for a near Beta5.

24 bugs still active
- 6 Awaiting information
- 5 Review later
-12 New (not reviewed)
- 1 Reviewed

Pretty close.

That definition of "Low" is a good one - in a project all bugs with low severity gets high priority at the year end, it's called annual cleanup in the corners

Does that not depend on what the definition of "is" is?
