Is the current signature restrictions enough?

Post by BondGamer »

Currently, there is no restriction to the number of images a user can put in a signature or how big those combined images can be. The maximum image width/height does not really make sense unless you can restrict the total number of images. Also, why can you restrict the number of smilies but not the number of images? I think there should be a few more options for signature restriction.

Hmm... all this time I though you could only have 3 images in a post since that's how many we have the posts set to... turns out you are correct... there is no limit.
The only limit I run into is a character limit.

I guess if somebody decides to put to many images in their signature and they don't remove it with warning... you could remove their signature privileges.

It an actual problem for me... Can developers comment out if they can add such restrictions?

Someone should log this in the bug tracker instead of waiting for a response from the developers.

The PM the bugtracker sent ;)
phpBB Bug Tracker wrote: The report you submitted to the bug tracker has been closed by "Acyd Burn"
with the tag "Will not fix".
This means that whilst they acknowledge that the issue you have identified
is valid, that there are no plans to address this issue at this time for
reasons which should be explained in the comments attached to this report.

All reports tagged as "Will not fix" will get reviewed later for inclusion
into the next major or minor version.

All I'd like to see is smaller text sizes in signatures in the default style.
