phpBB2 -> phpBB3 Upgrade Script Discussion

I was trying to use the import script... as u all...

How should i would the import files?

Should i put them in phpbb2 old instalation?
Can i install a clean phpbb3 beta4 edition?

Then i run phbb2/install

Is this correct?

grap the latest CVS (from phpbb3) and read the INSTALL.htm file. In that file you can find a step by step instruction how to convert a phpbb2 to a phpbb3 board

I havent saw that install.html file...
I downloaded http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/phpb ... p?download version.
Is this ok?

the beta4 package doens't contain the convertor.. try http://area51.phpbb.com/cvs/ and download the latest phpBB 3.0.x Daily Snapshots.

anb then look in /docs/INSTALL.html

rememer that this is beta software and shouldn't be used in a live enviroment

In that page, i have the files to download.. but there is no install.htm inside it.

Are u sure?

even dow, how can i install the conversor?

should i put convert files in phpbb2 or 3?

This topic is more about discussing the conversion script. If you can't install a recent phpbb3 CVS version i think it's better to just wait for beta5.

I have instaled b4.
I have a phpbb2 wich i want to convert to phpbb3.

I just need the install.html wich says how to use the install files...
Can u send me that file?

folder as INSTALL.html
