Hi,
I know, that update-skript has not been released yet, but does anyone maybe know, if the topic_id and post_id etc. will be the same when transferring the 2.0.x DB to Olympus?
...so that alls Links in the posts are still working and linking to the correct thread/forum/post.
topic_id and post_id

Re: topic_id and post_id
Hmm, not sure, but this should be on the priority list anyway...I'm sure they've done something for this...atleast, they should...
Re: topic_id and post_id
It would have to remain the same, otherwise every link to your forum topics would become broken.
Re: topic_id and post_id
OK, so let's hope so.

unless they've been updated to reflect the change in URL.
Re: topic_id and post_id
they wouldnt even have to update it... they just need a translation script if anything has changed (it doesn't look like anything has changed though)
Re: topic_id and post_id
URLs should still work after you've upgraded.
It would have been nice to see a SEO version of links being used. But I'm sure that will be one of the first mods out there..

Even if the n00bs at phpBB decide to change the variables in the query string, you could still work around that problem by setting up a word-filter to change the post-text to reflect the new query string.

Why do you call the developers of phpBB n00bs? I'm sure that if there are no technical reasons why the post/topic ids cannot be kept they keep them. One technical reason could be the inner workings of the converter framework which nobody knows but the devs. But the devs probably thought of this when they developed the framework
