 Since you americans get to have thanksgiving, I think brits should get a special "thankstaking" day, where we [b22dbb]demand[/b22dbb] thanks, rather than give it. That would be good. ;)

strlen('BeOS') < strlen('Linux') < strlen('Windows')

Therefore, in the interest of typing speed, BeOS is the best option :!:

I voted for Linux.

I think for web applications Linux rocks!.

For easy to use interface for novice users Windows is the way to go, at least by now, Linux is getting closer i think.

I voted Linux 'cause i like to have control of everything, and you really get that on Linux, also stability.

Regards!.

[quote73bfc="njivy"]strlen('BeOS') < strlen('Linux') < strlen('Windows')[/quote73bfc]

Don't you mean

[code:173bfc]strlen('FreeBSD') < strlen('Linux') < strlen('Windows')[/code:173bfc]

I know its hard to believe, but some of us still prefer bsd. Linux just got a little to pretty

btw you can get FreeBSD 4.4 on DVD. Not too shabby for the the old *nix ;)

Sorry to be vague, and I don't want to end up with loads of flames. What I meant was which OS do you like using best. I just wanted opinions, I wasn't trying to start arguments

freeBSD is the best OS.. :) it runs most linux programs, it's real stable and running KDE is pretty similar to windows. the Konqueror browser is a step up from Netscape but not as good as Internet Explorer.

oh, and it's free.. lol

Well, this is a question difficult to answer.

I use Win2k Pro / Server at work. I use Win2k Pro / XP Pro / Linux at home (plan to get rid of Win 2K once WinXP drivers for my Dazzle DVCII is released).

I prefer Linux for the "Power user stuff" and Win2k/XP for games / video editing, etc.

I usually do my development work on Windows (some MFC / other programming usually). I also play around with my Linux paritition.

So, can't really say which is "better".

But I did vote for Linux :-)
now what?
