Hi, 8)

i think about something for styling of each post, it will like this:

 post details (current position)
[separate by] a dashed 1px line (the current line is solid)
 post body (where the message appears)
[separate by] a dashed 1px line (the current line is solid)
 post auhtor's signature
[separate by] a solid 1px line (this line already exists)
 currents buttons (MP, mail, website, profile) on left + delete, edit, warn, quote buttons on right.

Using dashed lines avoid having too many solid lines which cross the screen, i think is better for our eyes 8)

What do you think about this??
Forgive my poor english... i'm french.

This just looks weird with the spare cell on the left. Perhaps increase the vertical size of that so it is as tall as the signature?

yes, in fact, but i suppose that dashed lines not appears on the left cell.
Dashed line appears just for separate post detail, post body and author's signature

Is this the stray cell you guys are talking about?

If so, it's just a simple colspan +1

Yep.

(Rowspan+1, by the way... but what if they don't have a signature? Need another <!-- IF --> block then.)

Couldn't that bit just, well, vanish? I don't think anthing is ever put in it, so it might look better without it.

Or that might look worse.

Someone should test it (I'm feeling terminally lazy right now).

It was originally for the "Back to top" link I believe.
