To the Dev Team
All I have to say is I just wish my stock looked like the chart below. They blew thru 100K like a freight train. The Dev Team deserves all the credit and appreciation we can give them. I for one would gladly click a paypal donate button and I hope others would do the same.

Re: To the Dev Team
Yes, but still, the whole chart is over a period of three and a half years. I'd probably donate too if the current pace continues with version 3.2, but except for the last few months the chart isn't that impressive imo. And anyway, they won't accept donations so.
Re: To the Dev Team
I think there's a circled part of the chart for a reason, and I also think the donation bit is just part of the effort to express "all the credit and appreciation we can give them." Let's give credit where credit is due, yes?

At source forge you can donate to them. http://sourceforge.net/help/icon_legend ... urn_to=%2F" target="_blank
that goes to acyd burn if you don't believe me goto http://sourceforge.net/projects/phpbb/" target="_blank then view project details and next to acyd burns name it shows a money sign click that.

Re: To the Dev Team
More lines of code doesn't mean phpBB is getting better. In fact, as programs get bigger it is usually the opposite effect.

I think their biggest fear seems to be that people will expect something in return for donating. this is a perfectly valid concern, however, I still think they should have a way to donate to the project beyond this. This donation is in no way affiliated to the phpBB project, it is meant as a donation to me as a person. Donating do not mean being able to demand anything, please be absolutely sure you want to donate some money because you want to. The money received through donations will be used to create free space for developing, buying an editor or a server program to test with. Again, donating does not mean any special treatment, you will get nothing in return. Instead you will know that you helped a person getting a better development environment.
