CVS Snapshots For Windows?

Sorry to ask a bit of a dumb question but is there a way to get a CVS snapshot to install with windows server 2003 web edition

Install it the same way you would any other version of phpBB... I don't think the windows version really matters.

The file that I have is a .tar.gz file

Usually with a Windows installation you upload the files etc. But it dosn't work like that!

Well, all I'll say is that it's a tarball. Similar to a zip file. Search Google, and you should be able to use it. :D

You can download WinRAR in order to extract the files. You can find the program at http://www.rarlab.com

7-Zip (http://www.7-zip.org) will do it, and unlike WinRAR, it's free.

Just my opinion.. but if you do not know how to untar the file then to be honest you shouldnt be messign about with the snapshots..

And as long as people know they can't get support for the product, its up to them to play with it.
