It was supposed to mark the topics which you have posted to. Was the feature dropped?

I don't believe topic-marking has been dropped, I imagine that it was simply disabled on the test board since area51 is hosted on a very busy server with high load (and this is somewhat of a power-hungry feature).

The feature is bugged. Youre supposed to see a black dot next to each topic you have posted to.

Correction: you see the dot only on threads you started yourself.
