Separate #phpbb-dev channel

Hey guys,

we are currently using the #phpbb-coding IRC channel on freenode for both development related discussions and helping MOD authors with code. Do you think we need to separate these two areas? We could open a new #phpbb-dev channel. Please vote

Voted yes. Having concurrent conversations about development and modifications is, as someone put it, awkward. To the person who voted no, why not?

I didn't vote yet. An upside of sharing the channel is that MOD authors who come there for support are more likely to notice and then help with development.

That's a valid point but I think I will be keeping my vote

I'm not sure about what option to choose because while I haven't objections about opening new development channel I'm still thinking we should keep the private one for some sorts of inner-team discussions (security issues for example).
So if we just open new channel while having private one I'm for it

We can still keep a private channel for critical stuff, but we decided that we really want development to happen in the open. We want people to contribute, after all.

I've just created the channel. All development IRC discussions will now take place in #phpbb-dev on FreeNode.
