[RFC] Better Pagination for touch screens

These requests for comments/change have lead to an implemented feature that has been successfully merged into the 3.1/Ascraeus branch. Everything listed in this forum will be available in phpBB 3.1.

Little problem with a small width of the screen, for example android 4.1 screen resolution of 800x480.

thats how they handle responsive... its intended to work that way, now we just need to fix the container to make spacing work better and that would reduce this such occurence

This will be somewhat fixed with an upcoming PR that doesn't hide the search box in responsive mode.

Would it be possible to apply the same style to the pagination of each topic on viewforum.php? It will improve consistency in the design.

And what about using input type number for the page selector? It will improve usability on mobile devices. And if the browser does not support it, it falls back to type text, so no harm done.

Hum... The pagination changed but it feels nice even without a touch screen. No need to make 2 versions. I like it! Good job!

along the same lines I am not sure why their is an empty value attribute either
