It is looking like there will be a new style in phpbb 3.3/4.0. Will there be a prosilver2 style? I think that there should be one. I think that it should look the same as the prosilver that is included in phpbb 3.2.

officially I think the plan is to probably support it at first but eventually phase it out for the new style as its two difficult to maintain two themes over a long period of time. Much the same reasoning/way subsilver is going.

of course there has to be a transition period for adoption... This does not mean that prosilver will have all the bells and whistles that a new theme has. Infact unless someone ports prosilvers design over to work off the new theme its going to be only major breaking compatibility changes though once a new theme is released just like subsilver was when prosilver was released.

also sidenote you can stop throwing around 4.0 everywhere ... we get it but 3.3 is more likely or more accurately 3.3.0

It should be called 4.0.0 IMO. The original plan was to call phpbb 3.0 phpbb 2.2, but it was named 3.0 because of the new theme and the lack of backwards compatibility with 2.0. I think that phpbb 3.3.0 should be named phpbb 4.0.0 instead.

The current development version is phpBB 3.3 for new features. A transition to 4.0 would only happen if we'd completely get rid of any backward compatibility.
