I would like if there was a module in the ACP that lets you easily create file-edits, and logs your actions. If there was a error after the edit, you can chose to reverse your action to a certain point. Also, there should be a modX generator included which let you easily create a MODX file by pressing the button. (Using the edit-logs). A function which lets you input a modX file would be cool to. This will cause a huge modification boost.
Is this possible? It seems allot of work to create, so I inserted it in the 4.0 edition.

There is specialized software and working practices for this. phpBB is and should stay a bulletin board. Use a VCS to maintaing a changelog of edits you made to files.
Trying to implement this in phpBB will get you into a mess, nothing more.
