Login after register

Post by MichaelC »

It would be good for this mode here to become a common feature, so when a user registers, instead of redirecting them to the index and making them have to login, they automaticlly are logged in.

Then the user isn't automatically logged-in.

When I validated that MOD back in the heady days on the MOD Team, I found it quite elegant. (one line of code) Seems very reasonable to me.

Personally I think it is more beneficial to get users to login, so they know the process and know their details. But now reason why this couldn't be done in 3.1.

That's a good point, especially if we aren't sending the user's password in the mail.

Yup, any site where I register that logs me in right away. The first thing I do is log out and log in to store the password.

Encrypted password store, encrypted home folder, I think I'll take my chances.
