I need to remove sub-forums from the parent forum

For ex on this boards index page you see:

phpBB 3.0.x Support - description.
Subforum:  phpBB 3.0.x MOD/Style Support

When you click phpbb 3.0.x Support (main forum) you see the subforum.

I want to remove the sub-forum from showing up when someone clicks the main (parent) forum but at the same time it still shows up on the board index page.
