Yesterday, I was having trouble registering here. I would agree to the registration terms and get to the next page, but no CAPTCHA was shown. This was in Firefox 3.0.5. I had to use IE to register.
I was also having problems staying logged in after registering, so I cleared my Firefox cookies and a quick test of registering showed the CAPTCHA. As I've hardly ever visited here until recently, I'm not sure why my cookies would have gotten messed up.
Any ideas?

Can not say for sure but I would guess as a result of the attack on phpBB.com that all sessions on this board were probably purged meaning your browsers cookies for this board were no longer valid, I had the same issue the other day and a simple clearing of the browsers cookies is the solution.
