Reporting something..

Post by Dragosvr92 » Sat Jan 24, 2015 6:39 am

I just visited area51 board. Clicked the New notification. And it took me to this link:
https://area51.phpbb.com:80/phpBB/viewtopic.php?p=273336#p273336
For some reason it added the port in the link and it caused an error. After i refreshed the page the issue wasnt present, but i said to post about it.
After i tried to submit this post it happened again. Whats happening o.o

The post submitted but it returned the secure error... O.o

Code: Select all

Secure Connection Failed

An error occurred during a connection to area51.phpbb.com:80. SSL received a record that exceeded the maximum permissible length. (Error code: ssl_error_rx_record_too_long)

The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.

I wonder if this was related to the posting problem that I was having. I seem to be able to post just fine now, though.

Steve
I wondered the same, seeing the title, it doesnt seem to be the same, but it may have been related.
The problem lasted for a few hours in that day.... Its been fixed since then. I think they had a setting that added the port in the url and that caused the problem.

It was a server configuration issue that has since been fixed.
