Xbox is not your typical Microsoft product, heck, their name is barely apparent on any of the ads for it, and all the Xbox shows were cool.

Don't judge a console on the company that makes it. If I did that, I would never touch PS2, since I hate Sony with a passion - but I did consider buying it at one point, till I came to the realization that my money could be spent much more wisely on an Xbox.

Okay, I totally REFUSE to believe Gamecube is winning. Could we get some adults in here, please? :p

But seriously, guys... I own an N64, I loved SNES, and I still even play NES now and then. GBA has huge potential, and I love Pokemon for Game Boy, as much as I hate to admit it. I like the company and all, but the Gamecube's got no games, and a dim future. Sorry to point out the dreadfully obvious, but Nintendo did it again... they released a crappy system :(

I bought a PS2 today, as they are cheap and GT3 is the best racing game I have ever seen.

On the other hand I played on my mate's GameCube this week and it was the best gaming platform I have ever seen - he has Super Monkey Ball and the Star Wars game, and it was an incredible experience. However, I don't want to pay through the nose to get one on import in the UK. I'll wait until they are "official" and then definately get one. Nintendo gameplay is just the best.

Why did I get a PS2? Everyone I know has one so I can borrow their games :) And the idea of running Linux on it and so being able to watch divx on my big tv appeal to me :p
