Did anyone try MS Expression Web?

Post by Nicholas the Italian »

Don't shoot me! I'm just asking. ;)
It is the heir of FrontPage, but should be much better in compliancy(?), support XHTML and not mess up the code.
Did anyone try it? Any comment?
Also, anyone knows how does it deal with php and so?

I tried it.

It's quite nice, it supports XHTML, it's a hell of a lot better than Frontpage.

As for PHP, it displays the source - that's it. It can't highlight the syntax or anything. That kind of thing is more for Expression Blend, I think.

Tried it, didn't like it. I'll stick to Zend Studio for PHP development, I think.

Incidentally, Visual Studio 2005 has gone all XHTML Nazi on us - signs of things to come in frontpage, perhaps?

There will be no more FrontPage. SharePoint Designer and the Expression line are replacing it.
You can never go home again... but I guess you can shop there.

Don't celebrate too much. SharePoint Designer is an updated, renamed FrontPage.
