depends on what view you look at it. when I buy a Apple computer and can't install windows, should I steal a pc that is capable of installing windows?

Yes, I am completely against DRM.

But removing or bypassing DRM is technically illegal according to the DMCA(which may soon be brought down by the H.R. 1201), even though as a user you have the right to backup your programs/movies/music.

If you happen to want to know more about the H.R. 1201...

I'm not too against DRM at all. I'm a common user of Apple's FairPlay DRM and
find it to not be too limiting. I think Apple has made DRM standard, but not too
limiting, as they still allow playback on supported players, as well as burning
to CD.

Afaik, burn the tracks to CD and re-rip them as MP3. There's no real law
against it, otherwise Apple would have blocked CD Burning.
Like Macs or just want to see Olympus Live? ;)

More DRM = less customers. I'm one of those they've lost already.

But that prog allows re-recording of audio signsl and only works for registered customers, who purchase their music legally!

"that prog" doesn't tell me anything...

And in the US it is completely illegal to bypass DRM, even by re-recording it with different software.
