The search never works for me either. anyway, one has a better chance finding what you want at phpbb.com by doing a google search.. works everytime for me anyway.

Yeah, googling phpbb.com is easy & effective ( site:phpbb.com "something" ) but the problem is, they aren't in descending order of time, so you can get one from 2003 on top of others from 2005. (aside from adding 2006 to the search query I haven't found a way to change it.. )
