lol

he seems to be wearing many hats for this project.

Wonder if any of the other phpBB Group members are helping?
Paul seems to be the only one I hear about.

Paul is our Guru, our beholder of the secret stone, the Lead Developer. :)

Actually, he is doing the most stuff, have done nearly everything in phpBB 2.0.x. As of 2.2, two new active developers joined the project: Ashe and Acyd Burn.

(i am always talking from me in third person. ;))

cool.

I had always assumed the phpBB Group had taken a more active role in the development.

I want to add that there is a differentiation between the phpBB Group and phpBB Developers. TheFinn is the Project Manager and he is the highest descission point. ;)

Ashe and I are not part of the phpBB Group. ;)

If you want to see the Group, have a look at http://www.phpbb.com/about.php" target="_blank

The complete phpBB Team is responsible for managing the thing, without the Support Team, the Moderator Team, the MOD Team and various other people, phpBB would be not as popular as it is.
This is what i love, the Community. Many people keeping the stone rolling, the spirit of Open Source, to work together and share ideas and more importantly, knowledge with each other. :)

I was aware of what the phpBB Group was. I have looked over that page many times.

I just thought they where the people responsible for the creation of the boards.

I didn't know until now, they are more of a management team.

I agree, the strong community is what makes it so great.
