I don't know about anyone else, but, unless the site has some very useful information I want to get to, I wouldn't register at a site that has an audio only captcha.

Why ?

Many business PCs don't have any speakers. My place of work, my bank, and my school are all included in this fun little AJD story :)

You wouldn't email yourself the address & register when you got home ?
Seems pretty silly to even consider registering for a site if an Audio captcha can deter you from registering that easily.

Because I just don't like it when captcha's take more than 2 seconds of my time. ;)

Any other kind of captcha is the same way, if I can not figure out what they want me to do within a few seconds I say screw them and move on.

Again, it seems silly to even consider registering in the first place if you're that easily detered. :?

there's a lot of people that think that way… myself included.
If they are going to make me work so hard to register, I'm not going to bother, I don't have enough free time to work with that.

But wouldn't that little time taken during registering be a sort of assurance that there's not as much spam on that board as there is on other boards ?
