Re: phpBB 2.2, top features
This just in:
I just checked out the Private Messages (I know... finally, huh?), and it's totally AWESOME! I clicked PM at thte bottom of someone's post, and it took me to the PM screen. Their name was already typed in, their message was quoted, the title to the Private Message was "Re: <post I came from>", and there was a place to add new recipients off to the side, and there was the buddy list at the bottom (which is cool because you can see if the person you are trying to send a message to is on or off), and there were the smileys and EVERYTHING!
I LOVE phpBB, and all of the features that are being put into 3.0. I can't WAIT until it's released to the general public at least for BETA Testing!

Just out of interest.. where do you find the posts that need to be approved and how do you approve them? I tried in my cvs and logged in as admin and still cant find them to approve them. I know its in the database though
Re: phpBB 2.2, top features
You have to say "Moderate Forum Posts" or something and then when a user posts, it should come up under some menu where you can read it and allow it or deny it.BioALIEN wrote:orzech wrote: just one thing does it for me:

Or am I just getting this mixed up with something else that may not even be in phpBB?

User Control Panel - Makes the users more at home and will keep going back to your forums to make changes
Sub Forums - So we can organize subjects better and swap them around under different sections as popularity changes and all that.
Attachments - An essential to make user posting a much better experience.
Upgrading - Upgrading to newer versions and maintenance needs to be made much easier.
