In addition to what Graham is saying, it makes absolutely no difference, because it is just looks. The "API", if you will, will not change, so you can happily develop your own theme by building on whatever is supplied with the beta releases without knowing how the standard interface for the Gold release will look.

the 2.2/3.0 thing didn't make a whole lot of sense at first.

then i installed a CVS package. WOW.



1.) it. is. free.
2.) fabulous permission system
3.) subforums
4.) friend/foe list
5.) more general control over everything (custom bbcodes, authentication things, image paths etc.)
6.) poll options
7.) admin log on, ACP re-log on.


im just oogling and oogling trying to look at every pane in the ACP. mmmmmmm.

1. paypal system, (premium members)
2. more BBcodes, (swf,media)
3. Mod panel.
4. FAQ editor, built in. thru admin panel
5. Improved Permissin control.

a feature where u can assign permissions to certain user groups. ( premium user group)

People have to have to use certain parts of the forum.

You didn't read the whole thread, apparently. This is about what features will be in Olympus which you are looking forward to, not what you want to see.
You can never go home again... but I guess you can shop there.

What you're describing has nothing to do with paypal. If you want to incorporate that into phpBB, read what Martin Blank said.
