phpBB2.2 administration support

Post by Alec Barker »

Hello,
I have just successfully installed phpBB2.2 (beta) from this site.
It all seems very beautifull indeed and works superbly. I do have one problem though, that is with the forum managment seciton in the admin panel. I seem to be unable to add new forums and make them appear in the board index properly. They seem to appear in the managment section but not on the actual board, maybe this is a bug or am I doing somehting wrong here?

Please do help me.
Thanks in advance,
Alec

No support from admins, but what about everyone else?
anyways, you have to set permissions in the admin panel for each board. it is defaulted to no permission (thats why you dont see it) change it to the permissions you want then it should work fine.

no support means no support. not just from the admins.

Really, no one, and I mean no one, should be worry about using the CVS version of phpBB 2.2. Just wait until it comes out, THEN ask for support. It's incomplete and will always have an issue. Though everyone else can give support if they want, but it's a waste of time wanting support on a pre-release software.

Please don't, it creates more headaches than it solves.

What 2.2 beta? I'm pretty sure that's a snapshot of the developmental 2.1 branch you're running, which is unsupported to my understanding.

My crystal ball still points to questions such as:

"I can't see the download for phpBB2.2!!???"
