Daylight savings

Post by sparkster »

Will the new version calculate users time based on daylight savings or is that not implemented in this version?

Look in your UCP (preferences IIRC); that is what the final feature will probably look like

Can anyone describe how the function i implemented?

Since the 2.0.x does not work correctly when changing the timezone setting, I really hope that you have thought about how to solve this issues.

If the setting is "on", the time is set ahead an hour. Otherwise, it is what was set as the "standard" time.

That described how you use the controll, and that I have gathered on my own.

But that was not what I asked for.

It is for people who live somewhere that has Daylight Savings Time, they enable it to adjust the time.

Ahem? 2.0.x works as designed in relation to time zone settings. There is simply not an automatic DST selector.

Wrong, it does not work correct...

If I change the setting, all the postings at my forum will change... not only those that are posted while the change is done.

For instans, if I make two postings. The first one at 10:00 GMT+1, at the 24 december 2003, and the second one at 10:00 DST+1, at the 24 june 2004.

And when I take a look at my postings during DST+1, the posting at christmas will be showen as posted at 11:00.

But as you say: It works as designed.

In other words: The design is faulty.

I think that I know a way to solve it, but since nobody bother to describe how it is implemented I don´t know if the dev.team already has solved it.

Uhm, that's not a design flaw. That's the way time works. @_@
