What do you mean by a 'googlized board'? What has to be done to make a board google optimized.

I never knew there was such a thing . . . . :?:
Sigs should be brief.

What we have done is tackle the "major" issue with crawlers and phpBB, that is the addition of sids to the URLs. With those gone you should see an improvement in listings, etc. It also gives you control over just what the crawler can and cannot see. For example if you don't want it crawling user profiles, limit its permissions.

The "best" solution would be to do away with all paramters and instead have the board appear to be static. However, this somewhat complicates things and is reliant in one way or another on the server. It's doubtful we'll implement this in the base release, the system we have now is I believe a pretty reasonable compromise.

Yes, it sounds very good. I was wondering what exactly the Google user did.

I like that as well. My board is oriented for fans of certain authors, and I'd get a lot more hits/new people for my board if those forums got googled. Even better if I can limit google's permissions and only crawl what forums I want it to crawl.
