Super Modertors

Post by Ghent »

What are their role?

In the MOD for phpBB 2.0.x it just gave the user "restricted Admin controls". That was very well, but I'd like them as in vBulletin.

What are the Super Mod's like in phpBB2.2?

Thanks for your time :)

Super Mods have the ability to moderate every forum.

But with 2.2 you can change every aspect of their access. ie. you can give you them admin powers, or only a small amount of super mod powers, it's all up to you. :D

Ok - but are there "Normal Moderators" now too ?

What did i have from Super-MODS if i still can´t have Single-MODS .

The old way over "Groups" is unacceptable.

You will still be able to have normal moderators of course. What did you expect? 8O

I mean a scenario like this (For example you can take WBB Moderatorcontrol or VBulletin too!) :

I´ve got a User for example "TEST" .
This is now the Mod of "Forum1" .

Then i made a Forum named "MODBOARD".

Can i say in the Controll of "MODBOARD" - all Users that are Moderator in one or more Forum have access to "MODBOARD" ?

In Version 2.0.6 i can only go the way over creating a own Group named "Mods" and make "Modboard" a Private (hidden) Board and then give the group access to "Modboard".
But in this way i have to edit each new moderator in 2 way.
First step -> make him a Mod -> second way go to the Grouppanel and make it a Member in my Group "Mods"....

For example in WBB or VBB you can select at each Board :

All Mods have acces to write, read etc.........
Alle Super-Mods have access ...... and so on.......

This is much easier and comfortable !

But the woriest thing is that there is no complete Screen where i can see all Boards with a pulldown Menu where i can say "you , you and you have access" - i can´t understand why Mods, Supermods, Guests are not like Admin or User in phpBB.

Last example:

WHY : http://www.phpbbhacks.com/phpbb22/adm/a ... d&mode=mod" target="_blank

AND NOT LIKE THIS:

http://www.vbulletin.com/admindemo/admi ... 6ce8939e00" target="_blank

User : admin // Pass : admin

If you got more than 15 Topics you become real problems ! 8O

Ok - simple =

Can i create a MODBOARD and make it only visible for every MOD ?

So i go to "MODBOARD" and set there every MOD , SUPERMOD & ADMIN can read, write etc. without create a own Usergroup for MODS ?

Now understanding ?

Sorry - my english was better some years ago (have to take a little training !)
