This feature is one cool thing in phpBB2.2, I even like it better than the Thread Rating, which is quite useful, if users would rate. With this rating system you will be able to see which users are accepted by the community, or which are just spamming around and see how their sypathy de-/increases over a longer period of time.

I'd like to know if you are able to rate for each post a user makes? Or is it only counted once per user rating? However, the possibility to dtermine how mouch a rate is worth, by the admin. is a great.

Am I just missing it, or is there a way to adjust the lowest Karma you see in the UCP?

There will always be users trying to abusing the system. This is why we are currently evaluating the best methods reducing the abilty to do so.

Well, as you see only the phpBB 2.x development discussion forums have it enabled so you can disable/enable it per forum basis.

I think I can come up with an algorithm that would be mechanical to the most extent. Anyone interested?

I used to play with translators and interpretations and dictionaries. The idea would be that you could have certain parameters you can adjust, but the "karma level" generation would be automagic - removing most generic abuse (clearly there are always ways to mess even the best algo up). It could also be just an extension to the subjective algo, and weighted according to the admin's preference.

When is the calculation for the karma level actually occurs? When someone clicks the good/bad link, or is it a cron job?
