Innodb or MyISAM

Post by Drew*** »

Given a moderate sized forum ( 200000 + posts, 24000+ topics, 10000+ members 22000+ attachments ) would you opt for Innodb or MyISAM.

(Innodb + fulltext native ssearch) or (MyISAM + fulltext MySQL search)

As far as I remember from ma Database lessons .. InnoDB are best suited for transaction-based tables (locking rows, etc). I think MyISAM will be a better choice as considering the number of users adding posts, we dont want tables to lock and create long back-logs (can't remember the exact term).
