Blame the idiots that keep submitting nitpick bugs that can wait till RC/Gold and be fixed in a patch. :(

The assumptions both that RC1 was going to be released this weekend, and that these (evidently small) bug reports are holding it back are completely unfounded.

That's deeply unjust. These "idiots" are contributing to make a better software, and we should thank them for this.
If you don't care about bugginess, take beta5, use it live and be happy with it. It's quite a good piece of software. But then don't come complaining because it doesn't work properly or whatever.
Also, at the end it's up to the devs to decide which bugs to fix and which not. So it's not "reporters' fault" if the RC is "delayed" (and we can't even talk about delays, as there is no set date - for a reason, btw).

Nothing has ever pointed to it being out this weekend, except for the constant guesses people keep coming up with. These have been going on now ever since B5 came out. People in February were saying that the signs are that it will be out!

The only "official" sign that its coming out will be when the download is available! Also I am sure the developers will be able to decide if the new bugs are "nitpicks" or not. If they are unimportant bugs then they won't delay RC1 , if they turn out to be more important then would we really want RC1 to be brought out with potentially damaging bugs included?

I wasn't being serious. We all need bug fixes, as much as we hate waiting. ;)

Let the bugs be found, I say.

Prefer that now so support can focus once RC1 is released. 8)

They're nitpicks because it says so in their descriptions. :D

Whoever decided that the number of bugs would slow down the release of RC1? That's ludicrous. The people testing and reporting bugs are doing so becouse they want to have the best forum software available. The devs will release RC1 when "They" decide it's ready, irregardless of the number of bugs.
Watching the bug reports, and trying to guess when it's going to be released based soley on the number of bugs can be a fun game. Just don't take it seriously. It will be released when the devs decide to release it and not a moment before.
Don't slam, flame, or otherwise put down the beta testers for doing a job that doesn't pay them anything. In reality, you should be Thanking them, becouse of their work, the latest cvs version makes b5 look like it was made by children in comparison.
