Is it possibile to convert from phpBB2 to phpBB3 making a copy, so not to overwrite phpBB2 board?

I'm currently in the process of converting.. and if I'm right, the only thing that happens is the Database preperation for Olympus, and all existing info ( users, forums etc. ) will just be converted. ( duh )

if this is how it goes, I hope it makes some things more understandable

EDIT: be sure to make a back-up, you never know although I'm sure most of you already knew this

Oh wow, I'm really looking forward to the next release, whether its Beta 5 or RC1 doesn't really matter - I plan on doing some test installations just to get the feel of the new system before putting on my two sites.

EDIT: oh no wait, it's there... but it isn't seen as posts. all forums say 0 topics, 0 posts and the same with my users. I suspect the same thing is with the private messages
