Translation with beta4

Post by Kokoyaya »

We still encourage potential translators to get used to the new language system.

I'd like to get used to it but contrary to a former beta release, I cannot find it :(

I have one suggestion of the editing of the language files.
It is not very comfortable to edit some long texts e.g. the TERMS_OF_USE_CONTENT in ucp.php (I mean, the register rules everybody must accept.) Would be very nice if the panel would be changed from one single line in a (small) textfield. :D

That should be posted in the bug tracker, not here. Or else, do the edit in an editor.

Hmm.. Well... It's not really a bug, it's more a request I think, so I have posted it here.
Of course you could do it in a editor, but the sense of the language editing in the ACP wouldn't be that much I think. :)

Will RC1 contain several languages or only English?

The system in future for phpBB 3.0 will be as for phpBB 2, so no.

It may be because I'm not the main admin but I have no "Language packs" in ACP>System, just that:

AUTOMATION
* Check for updates

GENERAL TASKS
* Manage report/denial reasons
