Visual Confirmation Problems?

Post by Ectoman »

Has the new Visual Confirmation been tested on as many configurations and browsers as possible?

I have been told the box was blank (a red X) with one user. And I have seen it myself show up as a red x.. I just had to refresh and it worked, but it did not work for the user I was trying to talk through a registration. Anyone else come across a red x when viewing the code?

I noticed there is no longer any major settings for the code in the ACP. Any way to change it?? It is hard to read sometimes...

Could you give me a link to your test board?

I had this problem too- but also with the "subdomain problem" (like "area51.domain.xy" relates direct to the Forum) from me... Here a link to this prob... But I think this isn't the same problem...

I ended up disabling it.

Even on v2 boards, people email me telling me the image is a red x. I need more tests from people with all kinds of configurations before I can reactivate that feature.

Maybe the user has an adblocker or something.. but it should still be done so it gets around the blocking software.

I've never experienced a problem with it...
If you are having problems with both the phpBB2 and 3... is it on the same server?
And if so, perhaps something with the server is causing a problem :?

If you are having the problem with phpBB2 as well, it most likely something on your end. I haven't seen any problems with a red X on phpBB2 before.

That is one grateful user right here.

Please use the forums on http://www.phpbb.com to receive support for phpBB2 (and phpBB3 beta). I suggest you have some patience and show a little more respect for the people who are trying to help you for free.
