Wow, great job guys!! I know that the devs have said there will be a Beta5, but do you think there's any chance of going directly to RC1? I mean, the bug count has gone down and stayed down for a significant amount over the past couple of days... And since the upgrade script is already integrated...

No, RC1 is after B5 if there are not a lot of bugs found with B5. 
RC will come once a Beta is bug-free enough that during it's lifetime few bugs are reported and few changes are made.

I'd just like to know if bugs are being fixed or dismissed as "not a bug"/"won't fix".

Lastof's sig has been reported as a bug more times than anything I have ever created for phpBB3!
I need to spend a few moments, download a CVS snapshot and comb some code... need to find more bugs... we are getting really really low...
