then things are certainly looking up, Bertie must be back on his usual form, and is helping to keep the devs in line, well this hopefully means that RC1 will be with us extremely soon :)

yes, as mentioned before, that´s a part of the preparation :)

I'm very curious to see what happens to the users spamming the bug tracker like this, I may add.

A lot of "Will not fix" or "Will fix later" or very fast bugs to correct !

There are over a half dozen new bugs being reported daily. And most are legitimate. If RC1 is released now there will likely be a huge influx of bugs which will cause the developers strain to support a lot of upgrades. It is probably better to hold off a little longer until the bug reports drop down in count.

Right, time to predict what will happen to the current "new" bugs (12 total as I post this):

#10988 - Looks like a support request to me.
#10984 - Assuming this is a bug, it's a quick fix.
#10982 - Again, if they decide it's a bug, it shouldn't take them too long to sort it out.
#10980 - I'm calling this one as "not a bug" - even though I got my last "not a bug" call wrong.
#10978 - I suspect that this one will be tagged as "review later".
#10976 - Minor prosilver issue. Another quick fix.
#10974 - Not too sure if they'll fix this one or not, but if they do it will be quick. But somehow I don't think they will.
#10972 - Simple language error. Should be fixed in less than 10 seconds. :P
#10970 - As nitpicky as a nitpick can get. :P
#10964 - It will make my day if this gets tagged as "fix in progress", but I suspect that it will be marked "review later".
#10958 - I think they just forgot to remove the smiley.
#10946 - Assigned to SHS`. They should fix this before RC1, although it may also head off to the "review later" pile.

It's 23:10 here in Durban, so I'm going to get some sleep; then log in tomorrow morning to see how wrong I am. :P
Life's a game. Just very badly programmed.

and thats the problem, too many bug reports

even if we do wait another week, and then only to have yet more bugs in the tracker, RC1 will never be released
