I've been translating olympus to finnis for some time now.
or atleast trying to fiqure out what to call what as some of the words doesnt seem to have sane translation to finnish language.
And some features needs to think deeper on how to describe them.

The thing i'm working on right now is not going to be the final translation. That will be done when the RC's come in.

Me, too ... *interested*

I'm working on two versions of german (formal and informal).

Having two question for Guidelines, btw.:
- Sometimes a sentence finishes with a period, sometimes not? Shall we decide on our own, or simply include one, when the sentence is a complete one (Would be, what i suggested)
- Since we already have an entry for the encoding, shall we use HTML-Umlauts like "ä" or use the real version "ä" ?

Warui,

Be very carefull with the periods. It´s context dependant. I suggest you simply leave it as is. Some text variables are defined in a way so that there will come a variable after the text string when the package is up running on board, and then it will not be correct to place a period - in stead it will mess up board with lots of tiny typo's, that can be very annoying for users.

So my suggestion is leave exactly as is.

I would like the URL to this tool too, although I have coded a simple php command line tool which works language string based. (it compared each old CVS language string with the current and asks for each string which ist new, changed or untranslated whether to keep the translated string, enter a new string, copy the english string or mark it as untranslated.

I already did a rough translation to German which is complete (current CVS) but not yet checked / revised. Probably someone already did that but I did not find an up to date version which was complete and completing a translation of somebody else seems a bad idea to me.
