Cvs is so fast at downloading stuff it blew my mind away.

Well the files arent actually that large and If IIRC they are just downloading the changes.. You should try SVN I do believe that is even faster :P

You mean Mac OS X Tiger??

Im not sure if there is a client for SVN for OSX but yeah Im sure it would have the same results..

of course there is. you can also do it via terminal :)

Rsync is even faster. :lol:

CVS isnt actually fast. Its the same speed as downloading the files in a uncompressed zip or a tar file.
Your monitor blurring just makes it look fast. ;)

I love me a console... but something like CVS/SVN/RCS in general greately benefits from a GUI.

Windows:
TortoiseSVN / WinCVS

Mac:
svnX / never used CVS on mac :/

And I admit to having never used a CVS/SVN gui on linux, any suggestions from the peanut gallery?

I downloaded Olympus on Mac OS X Panther and it was lightning fast.

I used MacCVS, btw. Works perfectly.
Like Macs or just want to see Olympus Live? ;)
