Password for the CVS?

Post by REGIX »

Hey all...I'm using TortiseCVS and whenever I try to connect to the CVS depository, it keeps asking for a password. I've tried canceling it, using "empty" as the password, and submitting the password empty and then all it does it return an eror. 8O Anyone know the pasword for it :?:

I too am having this problem. I think Tortoise CVS just doesn't let you input a new password. I'm going to try a different client. I will let you know if I find one that works. My hunt for CVS clients has been about 2 hours so far. Tortoise is the only one I found so far that installs correctly, I have yet to find a good one I guess.

Didn't work for me. :-/ When I click OK on the password box it just comes right back up.

Oh well. CVS client number six. WinCVS. Wonderful...the only drive on my system that it recognizes is my C: drive which just happened to be my backup files partition of about 500mb and is full. Great... Lets see what the next CVS client I try brings me. :(

EDIT: Nevermind lol :lol: I'm a retard, I figured it out.

WinCVS does the job for me...

'Admin' -> 'Command Line' -> 'cvs -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.sf.net:/cvsroot/phpbb -z5 co phpBB2'

Choose location on your PC -> Done! :mrgreen:

edit: btw... did choose drive "D:" on my PC without problems...
