Just To Clarify About Olympus

Well that solves alot of confusion in my mind. However a few question rush directly to my mind now that you say 'no backwards compatibility'. A question for the Devs, does this mean that in order to upgrade I will loose all of my user databases, and loose all of the old posts on my forum???

The only things I want to keep from my forum is the User DB and the Post DB's. The rest can go. I think it's great that you guys moved up to version 3. I know it makes it easier for my to understand, never did get the whole 2.x 2.1.x whatever thingy.

Anyway, I like the new code name, keep up the good work guys, can't wait for the release!!

There will be a converter to convert your 2.0.x board to Olympus so you won't loose anything.

Or the one in Greece? The name is used for more than 2000 years. Maybe something more original?

It's a smart move, and I applaud it. One day, people will think the mountains and the camera were named after phpBB. Image

I will rephrase the 'Tripe' again:

I would like to most heartily demonstrate my expressions of surprise and pleasure over the new infomation that has been released with regards to phpBB's future.

erm no, as Tom said, the largest mountain in the Solar System. The 3.x series will all be titled after Martian mountains.

Well, wibblewackle, erphrumple, digglebotty and tampydoodah just didn't sound right so we decided to use a more "standard" nomenclature. I should add I can't think of any projects which use as their codename scheme the mountains of Mars ... I guess you're better versed in projects than I.
