The converter I made converted a heavily modded Ultraboard to phpBB 2.0.x without a single error
No problem, I was just hoping that I could be useful somehow

Can 2.0.x upgrade to 2.2.x smoothly?

to get around the time out issues. you could just back up the database.. load it into a local copy of.
do the upgrades then upload everything to the server. lot of extra work but it could help. or get a better host LOL.

Of course that’s just my opinion I could be wrong

Of course there will be a smooth upgrade path from 2.0 to 2.2 My board has approx 5M posts at the moment and the database (including indices) is approx 5.5GB This will have to be converted to 2.2 and, yes, that will take more than 30 seconds

5M? 8O
i try to keep posts on my board under 80K and delete some old ones.. dont have that much mysql space eighter......
but a question: i run 2.0.6, should i start upgradeing to 2.0.10? i know there have been some bugfixes but it is a rather private board and i think noone has any interests in messing with it. plus i have some heavy mods running....
so the only reason for me to upgrade would be to later upgrade to 2.2. should i?

5M = 5Mega or 5 million posts
not 5MB or 5MiB

still didn't get the answer about 2.0.6->2.2
i read somewhere that there have been no database changes since 2.0.6 and thus i could nicely use the updater that will be made for 2.0.10. is this true or should i start upgradeing my board?
