CVS upgrade?
Will an upgrade path be provided from cvs versions to the completed versions, or will there be no need, like the database will remain the same? Cheers 8)

Re: CVS upgrade?
None what so ever, hence why we've said till we're blue in the face that CVS is completely, and utter unsupported.
If you know how to work with PHP/*SQL, then you could upgrade by hand... but if you could do that, I guess you wouldn't have asked said question in the first place.

Re: CVS upgrade?
If you're running CVS on a live site and you lack the knowledge to manage an upgrade by hand then you deserve what you get.
Re: CVS upgrade?
And unless you intened to only use the CVS that you installed you have problems too. There are constant changes to the db. You are best to wait, it is not production quality code right now and you are oppening yourself up to security problems and numersous headaches.

It ain't a real board
As in my signature, it's a demo board
My real board runs off 2.0.x

Re: CVS upgrade?
Just curious, how would area51 upgrade from CVS to CVS if there are continuous database changes, I suppose it's all manual?

Hence why we've said *SQL knowledge is a requirement to work with CVS.
PHP knowldge would also help since some changes are a little bit easier if a small script is knocked up to do the same thing.
