I didn´t liked the new registration method, I prefer the old way here had more preferences, =( well this way remembers me the ipb

It was to simplify the registration system to not confure new users :)

All the options are still available in your user control panel, however. It just quickens (and simplifies) the registration process.

No there are no plans to offer the existing registration method "as such". As already noted registration was simplified considerably to reduce confusion, etc. With that said tThere is a good chance we'll include an admin capability to define required profile fields during registration. They will however only be profile fields, there will be no option to define avatars, etc.

I think it should be like vBulletin, where it asks the user for full or quick.

maybe a custom FAQ like board rules or help info etc

if new admin looks in FAQ then he needs to learn a things like how to close thread etc
