Skinning- Full CSS Switch

Post by loyaltrekie » Mon Mar 12, 2007 8:51 pm

Alright, I just downloaded, and installed, the Beta5. And whilst I am happy they instituted such an awesome new skinning system with the drop down menu and everything. But I was wondering if there was a way to full edit the CSS file in one fell swoop. I have an old CSS file that a good friend of mine made for me a long time ago. And I really dont want to try and go through one at a time and edit them via the drop down menu. So maybe im just overlooking the obvious or....? Any help is greatly apreciated. Thanks in advance.

ninja edit: I just noticed ive been a member here and actully trolled around for about a year and this is my first post lol ^^

I suggest you to use WinMerge (a file comparison free utility for windows) ;)

Hmmm, Maybe I stated what I was refering too wrong.

-I have the CSS in a regular file
-I want to apply it to the forum itself
-I dont want to use the drop down menu and click each and every atribute and modify them one at a time
-Was wondering if there is a way to upload an entire CSS file, rather then using the ACP drop down menus for each attribute.

Sorry if my previous descrption was akward. Thanks in advance.

in the theme folder there is the CSS file there you can edit all the colours,

stylesheet.css

you'll probably find it easier to style if you select "files" instead of "database" for the filesystem and edit the files in a text editor instead of the ACP.

The stylesheet editor in the ACP is not the easiest to work with… unless you are a beginner with CSS.

keep in mind that a stylesheet for phpbb2 will not work for phpbb3.
