I have no inside information, but we all do remember that the development theme for much of 2.0 development looked nothing like subSilver, right? And we all remember that some people were cloning subSilver for other forum products before phpBB 2.0 release, despite the fact that theFinn had given permission to use the theme on the condition that nobody cloned it until 2.0 release, right?
I won't be 'tall surprised if what we see isn't what we get. Again, not because I know something, but just because of past experience. Not to mention wild guessing on my part.
[POLL] New Default skin?

Well that's the first best reason I've heard to stop developing for 2.2 until the final release.

Developers have handled, and still are handling subSilver2 as you see it here.websterworld wrote:Well I see there are mixed opinions about this.

1) THe delete function is currently broken
2) there is a time limit on deletion/editing of posts.

The skin is very diffrent to the 2.0.x one.
It hsa changed, just in a more subtle fashion than the other boards did.
The old VBB skin looked quite horrible, prehaps explaining why they did a new one, the phpBB one looks good - Why change an already good thing?

the same reason everybody does, people love new stuff (if phpBB was like vBulletin, it would be to get money, but its not... )the_dan wrote:The skin is very diffrent to the 2.0.x one.
